About Survivor Smiles
Survivor Smiles is a dental oncology practice built around a single mission: making expert dental care accessible to people who have been through cancer. Our patients are survivors of head and neck cancer, breast cancer, blood cancers, and other malignancies whose treatment has affected their teeth, jaws, or oral health in ways most general dentists are not equipped to handle.
We exist because dental oncology, as a clinical discipline, barely exists in most of the country. Most cancer survivors are sent home from oncology with no plan for their mouths, no warning about radiation caries or osteonecrosis, and no clinician trained to put their smile back together. We aim to change that for the patients who find us.

Our Founder
Survivor Smiles is led by Dr. Ryan S. Lee, a dental oncologist whose training spans NYU College of Dentistry, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and Northwestern University. Dr. Lee is the founder of the New York Center for Dental Oncology and serves as Chief Clinical Officer of Linkstone Implant Academy.
His clinical work has been profiled by the American Dental Association,Cancer Today magazine, Becker's, Northwestern Magazine, and DrBicuspid, and he has lectured nationally on dental implant care for cancer patients.
Dr. Lee built Survivor Smiles to serve a population he saw being underserved during his work at major cancer centers: survivors who finished treatment, were declared cancer-free, and were then left to navigate complicated dental needs alone.
Smiles Different

A dental oncologist leads every case.
Dr. Ryan Lee is a Northwestern-trained, MSKCC-experienced dental oncologist whose work has been featured by the American Dental Association, Cancer Today, Becker's, and Northwestern Magazine.
Medical-dental integration.
We do not work in isolation. We talk directly with your oncology team, share imaging when needed, and time procedures around your medical care. Survivors should never have to play messenger between specialists.
Financial support designed for survivors.
Cancer is expensive. We offer a 40 percent discount for cancer survivors and help coordinate medical and dental insurance benefits so out-of-pocket costs are typically capped near 60 percent of standard fees.
National practice, four offices.
We see patients at locations in New York, NY, Plainville, MA, Riverside, RI, and Redding, CT, and welcome traveling patients from anywhere in the country.
